About Shai
Shai Ardebilchi is a drummer, percussionist, energy healer, and ceremonialist based in Ojai, California. A devoted firekeeper within his community, Shai shares a deep connection to Earth, body, and spirit through immersive healing sound journeys. His offerings are rooted in reverence for the natural world and a commitment to creating sacred space for transformation, restoration, and remembrance.
With a lifelong relationship to rhythm and sound, Shai intuitively weaves live instrumentation with the subtle movements of energy present in each space. His work invites deep listening, presence, and a return to natural balance.
Journey
Drawn to rhythm from an early age, Shai has spent his life exploring the deep connection between biological rhythms, movement, and universal cycles. His path led him to study the work of Gabrielle Roth and to serve as a live drummer for ecstatic dance within his community.
For over 25 years, Shai has been serving as a Firekeeper in Ojai, holding ceremonial space within the lineage of the Ojai Foundation. He is a certified energy healer through Healing in America and has offered healing sessions internationally, including work in Australia.
Creative & Collaboration
Shai’s sound journeys continue to evolve as his relationship with resonance deepens. His offerings are ceremonial, immersive, and attuned to the present moment. He works with a wide range of vibrational tools, including hand drums, quartz crystal singing bowls, Tibetan singing bowls, gongs, tubular chimes, and layered original recordings composed by Shai himself.
Each session is a co-creative experience — shaped by the space, the land, and the people present. Whether held under ancient oak trees, around sacred fires, or within quiet indoor sanctuaries, his work invites participants into safety, breath, and embodied presence.
As a musician and collaborator, Shai has participated in multi-element nature performances, accompanying fire dancers, aerial dancers. As a recording artist, he has collaborated with artist Dustin Byerley and released the album Law Of One: The heart of contiousness that is available on shai's website and major streaming platforms. Today, his music is released and shared under his own name, Shai Ardebilchi.
